Canon PowerShot S230 3.2 MP Digital ELPH Camera with 2x Optical Zoom
Canon has unveiled its new addition to its PowerShot-Series, the first to be mentioned today is the PowerShot SX230 HS Digital Camera that is GPS-enabled and is also the company’s first digital camera with GPS functions. The SX230 comes with a 12.1-Megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS sensor that features a 14x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilizer and 28mm wide angle. It comes with a built-in GPS receiver that will connect to GPS satellites to collect signals and record latitude, longitude and altitude, then the information will be recorded to the image’s EXIF data. Inside there is also a GPS logger which track route on a map. It comes with a 3-inch PureColor System LCD Display, Canon’s HS System Technology which is used to enhance image quality in low-light situations without the need for a flash and other standard features such as Smart AUTO with 32 different shooting scenes, Advanced Subject Detection, Face Detection, Movie Digest Mode and 8.1 shots/sec. high speed burst.
The PowerShot SX230 HS GPS Digital Camera also comes with the option to record Full HD 1080p video, plus an HDMI output that enables the user to preview recorded content on a HDTV.
