Get iOS 4 multitasking on all apps!

Sunday, 2 January 2011

Backgrounding has been a popular jailbreak tweak for a long time. And once iOS 4 brought multitasking to the table, both jailbreakers and non were pretty happy about it — that is, for except for the fact that not all applications support it yet.
Well if you’re a jailbreaker, you don’t have to wait for the devs to update these apps anymore, thanks to a new Cydia tweak that has come to town. Sure, you could still go for Backgrounder, but Go Native may be more appealing for some people, since it works like iOS 4′s native multitasking for every app you’ve got.

Sounds great, but there is a caveat here — it only works for jailbroken devices that already have support for native multitasking, so iPhone 3G handsets and older models won’t get any joy from this.
If you do have a jailbroken device that supports it and want to give it a whirl, then you can find the free tweak in Cydia (in the BigBoss repo). Once loaded, go to the Settings app to configure (not the Springboard).
