[How to] Jailbreaking 101 iPod

Those who own an iPod may want to jailbreak it but the problem is that they don’t know the processes. The following are 8 steps to jailbreak your iPod:

1. Okay so this method will work for all generations. Now you should backup your iPod Touch on iTunes to avoid loss of any data incase things don’t go as planned.
2. You need to download this free software called “Green Poison” from “greenpois0n.com”. After you are done downloading install the software.
3. Now turn off your iPod Touch by holding the sleep button on the top until turn off slide comes on the screen. Connect the iPod to the computer
4. Open Greenpois0n with the iPod still connected. The screen prompts you to get ready. Click on “Prepare to Jailbreak(DFU)”.
5. This will be followed by a set of timed instructions to put the iPod into DFU mode. Follow the instructions carefully and press the prompted buttons correctly. In case you don’t know the sleep button is the one at the top and the home button is the round one below the screen.
6. If you have followed the instructions carefully the iPod will go into DFU mode and the screen of the device goes black. This is the mode in which the jailbreaking will take place.
   You will start seeing some text in white. Be patient and wait for the jailbreaking to finish.
7. When Greenpoison shows jailbreak complete. Turn on the iPod and go past the slide screen. Look for an app called “Loader” and open it. Make sure to look through all the pages. Now wait for it to load. When finished it will automatically reboot. Now you have a new app called Cydia.
8. Congratulations! Your iPod is now Jailbroken. Go Ahead and explore Cydia for new apps and stuff. By the way on the “who are you” box that appears after opening cydia tap on user (the first option).
